Happy August, everybody!! :) I love August, being my birthday month and all, hehe!! ^^ I hope it started well for all of you!
My August started pretty nicely :) Big Cat and I slept in just a little bit, then we got up and took our time getting started for the day. We went and got those milkshakes we missed out on last night at about noon. I got a malt with coffee flavored ice cream and it was soooo goood =q= Big Cat got a really big chocolate milkshake, and they gave him a big cup of the extra they made too! :0 He went to pour some into my empty glass and made a big mess, hehe >9< It was no biggy tho :P
After that, we went out and about for a little bit. We went to the nice grocery store that's a little further away to get some stuff, and while we were out there we stopped at their Goodwill. Nothing to really see there, though :P
I was starting to get a little cranky because I was so tired v.v It was either because I didn't have a proper coffee in the morning, or because I slept so poorly on Thursday night that I still needed some catch up (I'm a sleepy gal, I need my winks!!). When we got home, I rested on the edge of sleep for a few minutes while Big Cat made me some coffee. How nice :) The coffee helped a lot ^^
While Big Cat made coffee, he also chopped up some jalapenos and sliced some bread for me. Last night while we were watching that Phantasmagoria 2 let's play, they mentioned the main character's usual order at the restaraunt was a jalapeno honey grilled cheese... And that sounded so delicious!! So I made one for Big Cat and I at around 4ish. We used extra sharp cheddar and sourdough bread, with slices of jalapeno, a drizzle of honey, and some salt and pepper. They turned out wonderful!!! @q@ I woud definitely reccomed it... We'll certainly be having them again some time!!
Then, we just sort of chilled out for a while. I was able to get a couple buttons made for my website here, finish posting all the poems I have around still, and even get started posting some recipes! :D I'm really excited to see things coming together a little more ^^ Big Cat had to run and pick up a computer he promised his uncle he'd fix, so I got to listen to some kewl tunes on the big speaker for a bit while I worked, hehe :9
I spent some time outside with Toad, and I had Snail (the dog) out there with him too. Big Cat helped me chaperone the two as they got to know each other recently, but now they're cool enough that I can keep watch over them on my own. They're still a pinch hesitant of each other. Snail likes to nibble Toad's butt to try and get a taste of all those good smells xD But it's harmless, does nothing more than annoy Toad and get a couple equally harmless swats out of him lol. I'm really happy they're starting to get along! :) I hope they can come to be friends, and maybe even live in the house together someday soon enough ^^
The grilled cheeses we had were meant to be more of a lunch, but they were rather late... So the dinner we had planned to eat didn't happen until about 9. That's quite a late dinner for us :0 But it was worth the wait... We did an at home hot pot dinner :D It's the second time we've ever done that (I think? Possibly third. My memory isn't always the sharpest xP). It's suuuch a blast!!! ^^ It takes a bit of prep, but other than that it's super easy. It's fun and tasty too ^q^ And a looot cheaper and healthier than going out for hot pot :P We chopped up a bunch of mushrooms (shitake and some other kind I can't remember.. gold something...), some bok choy, celery (odd choice but it was good!), beef, pork, and Japanese sweet potato. I didn't get my broccoli this time, because Big Cat said he didn't want the whole pot to taste like it... But that's alright, I'll get em next time :> For the broth we used beef bone broth, water, dashi powder, miso, and sake. It was good! Personally I might suggest a pinch less dashi next time... But even if it ends up the same, it's still enjoyable :) We both made our own sauce to put on the side too. I made a pretty typical spicy and sweet sauce, but Big Cat made some experimental Chinese esque sauce ovo ... I tried it and it was pretty good though :0 We have a bunch of everything left so we'll probably do it again tomorrow night ^w^
After dinner it was already pretty late. I finished setting up my recipe page for the time being, and got one recipe up. The most important one! Shepherd's pie :D It's kind of my go-to, hehe. It was the first recipe I got really comfortable with when I started cooking a couple years ago when I moved out here with Big Cat :) It's really simple to make and super tastey, so I reccomend you try it out hehe ^w^/
Big Cat's mom invited us over to have enchiladas for dinner tomorrow. That was nice, and I hope we all have a good time :) It's gonna be at like 2pm though, so it's really more like a late lunch xD Oh well, more hot pot for us ^9^
I finished with my rinse for the night, and Big Cat is taking his usual luxurious shower right now :0 It's so late, gosh... Church doesn't seem to be in the cards yet again, buh x_x We need to get a hold on getting to bed and waking up in a timely fashion again! It's so easy for it to get out of hand, and then a pain to fix :P We're never early birds lol, but it bums me out to wake up too late >.< I take way to long getting going in the morning to wake up at 10 TT0TT I won't start getting anything done until 11 or even noon! :') t least it's still the weekend for now. Hopefully we can start getting a headstart on it tomorrow night :P
I'm gettin tired vov I hope Big Cat's out of the shower soon and we can get to bed. Goodnight all, have some good sleeps and some tastey dreams!!!

Nyoooo, I don't want the weekend to be over!!! D: How sad, how sad...
We didn't do too much today, but it was nice :3 We got some coffee. with the less great barista, but I was still happy just to go to the cafe and stuff :) Then we just chillaxed for a bit before dinner with Big cat's folks. I played some Project Zomboid. My first try on build 42! I didn't last too long, I got clumsy and was bit right away lol.
Dinner was good, the enchiladas were tasty ^^ Big Cat's dad made them, and he wanted to watch a movie with us, so I wonder if it was all his idea :0 The movie was... Bleh. Just some straight to streaming boomer slop. It was called Apex. I suppose I've seen worse... But that's not saying much :/ Big Cat wanted to leave about 30 minutes before it was over. We said our goodbyes and were about to head out... But his dad just looked so upset, so before we got in the car I said something, and we ended up going back in to finish the movie ;;v;; I'm glad we did, his dad seeemed happy about that...
Big Cat's mom gave me a birthday card with a gift card to get my nails done while we were there! :D How nice ^u^ <3 !!! I was thinking about getting my nails done for my birthday :3c I don't do it often at all because it's so expensive, but now that's no problem!! ^w^ Well, it's enough for a pedicure, which is epic... But I'm hoping I can convince Big Cat to let me get a manicure too, mwahaha >:3c ... I just gotta be sure not to be a sucker and let them upsell me real bad this time, gah!!! TT0TT
We didn't end up doing more hot pot tonight (we'll have to be sure to get to that and use our leftovers pretty soon...), but I did make more of those jalapeno honey grilled cheeses. They were, once again, tasty :)
I spent the rest of my night mostly playing more Zomboid. I went to get some mods for the new build, but it kept crashing and crashing, it was being so finicky x_x I guess that's to be expected... I trimmed it down to four real simple ones, and it's working fine now thankfully :) I'm glad I got to play a little more.
That's about it, I suppose! It was a nice, lazy Sunday :) I should probably shower before bed, but I don't wanna =^= I'm debating if I'll do it now or in the morning... But gosh I'm really freezing right now, and I guess it'd help x_x ... But first I gotta pester Big Cat a bit mwahaha >:3c

Happy Monday!! Hope you all started your week off on the right foot :)
It was a good day today! I went to Walmart (all by myself, big girl style!!!), but they were out of my mascara so that's a bit of a bummer :/ I have some left still, so I'll be good for now I suppose. After that I ate some lunch. We've been good about cleaning out the leftovers recently :) Although, I tried to make Big Cat some eggs and sausage for lunch... But the sausage had gone freaking rotten TT0TT I didn't even noticed while I cooked it!!! They looked fine... But after one bite he spit it out x_x and it did smell a little funky when I gave it a sniff... I felt bad I didn't notice :< He still got to eat the eggs, though, and had some leftover ziti later, so it was okay in the end :')
I cleaned up the kitchen, straightened up the living room, and vacuumed too :> I suppose I coulda done more.. But the house is cleaner now, and it feels nice, and I'm happy with that ^^ Certainly I'm doing better than I ended last week! So hopefully I can keep it up :) I don't need to cook tomorrow because we're gonna finally finish off that hot pot stuff, so I think I'll clean the bathroom. Wednesday I gotta make dinner, I think I'm gonna make some steak sandwiches with peppers, onions, and cheese sauce, and maybe throw them on some hoagie rolls or something :P As for Thursday... Well, I need to get something for the cake I wanna make for my birthday either from World Market or perhaps some European foods store. Plus I gotta get my nails done >:3c So I suppose I could do those things Thursday! :) And maybe vacuum again, since Party Animal and Big Dog will likely be coming over for cake and ice cream after my party on Friday!!! \^w^/ I'm gonna make a chocolate malt cake :0 I'm not great with cakes, and this one's even a layer cake too... But I'm gonna try my best!!! >0< I'll probably do that one Friday before the evenings festivities :3c Wish me luck with it, please!!! Ah, gah, I gotta be sure to do some laundry throughout the week too... But not Friday hehe...
Toad and Snail did super good visiting today :D I'm so happy at how quickly they're starting to get along!! ^u^ They're both very nice and laid back... But the first couple times we tried introducing them, it went a bit rough :( Snail had some more time to get used to his smell coming from the garage and being in the yard and stuff, though, so I suppose that helped :) He even played with Toad a bit today, it was so cute!! ^u^ And by play, I mean he got all excited and ran around him while Toad watched him like ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) lol! It was so cute. They kept going nose to nose to sniff each other too and that was adoooorable!!! TT0TT I think Toad likes the visits, actually :) It's stimulating for him ^^ I'm just so happy with this development!! What good boys!! ^u^
Bwah, I need to call my family this week :P I try to generally call my grandma and grandpa once a week, but I was bad last week, and only breifly said hello the last time I called because I was In A Mood x_x Moody ol' me... I feel bad about it :> I hope they don't think I'm just calling for birtday wishes :'x ... I call my mom less frequently, but every so often I make sure to say hi and stuff. I also gotta be sure to call her so she can pass on my birthday wishes for my brother. His birthday is on Wednesday! :3 But he probably would be all awkward if I actually called him xD So I'll tell my mom and just text him lol. Next week Friday is my dad's birthday, too! And then the 28th is my grandpas!!! o0o August is a busy birthday month for us xD
Oh my gorsh... Big Cat is still not in the shower!! xAx It's closing in on 12:30!! I better go see what he's up to...
