Porcelain doll
Sitting on the shelf
Belongs not to me
Nor anyone else
Cracks in the paint
Old matted hair
Blue painted eyes
Thousand yard stare
Heart made of wax
Melts out her ears
Pools out the mouth
Built up for years
Torn paper doll
Sitting on the shelf
Stained yellow parchment
Cannot be helped
Lost her pale finish
Lost all her hair
Black dots for eyes
And nothing else there
Solidified wax
Stands her up tall
Little gust of wind
So easily she falls
Hitting the ground
Hear porcelain shatter
And fluttering paper
The same in this matter
